Pixelate Image

Add a pixelated effect to your whole picture or a selected area, then download it in the original format.

JPEG, JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF or HEIC. Up to 50 MB and 40 million pixels.

Privacy-first Files stay in your browser.

Animated images export their first frame as a still image. Files are re-encoded in their original format; metadata and animation are not preserved.

How to pixelate an image

  1. Select an image and choose Whole image or Selected area.
  2. Adjust the pixel size while checking the live preview. Drag to select a region when using Selected area.
  3. Click Pixelate to download the result. The original dimensions are preserved.

The selection outline is only a guide and is not included in your download. JPEG, WebP and HEIC output is compressed; GIF uses up to 256 colors. Pixelation is a visual effect, not a guarantee that sensitive details cannot be inferred.
