How colors are picked
The image is displayed to fit the available space, while colors are sampled from its full-resolution pixels. Animated images use the first frame. Colors are read from the browser’s decoded image in sRGB; HSL values are rounded to whole numbers.
HEX, RGB, and HSL describe the color channels. Opacity is shown separately for transparent pixels; fully transparent pixels may read as black. HEIC images are decoded locally too.
Example: find a color for your CSS
Select a screenshot or logo and click the area whose color you want to reuse. Copy the HEX or RGB value into your stylesheet. Anti-aliased edges and compressed images may contain several similar colors, so choose the pixel carefully.
